Last week, The Ehrhardt Group helped Walmart announce its plans to build a new Supercenter in Yazoo City, Mississippi.

The new, 122,000 sq. ft. Walmart Supercenter will provide approximately 250 jobs and offer a convenient shopping experience for the local community. The store is expected to open in Spring 2017.

“This is a much needed boost to our economy,” said Yazoo City Mayor Diane Delaware. We hope that with Walmart’s success, other businesses will follow.”

“I am very excited that Walmart is coming to Yazoo City,” said Russell Restaurants Owner Skip Russell. “My decision to build here was based partly on the anticipation of Walmart coming. Now, more and more people will have a reason to visit and shop Yazoo City. It’s going to be great for all of us.”

Once completed, the new Yazoo City Walmart Supercenter will offer a full line of affordable, fresh produce and groceries, including organic and natural selections, in addition to local favorites.

The store will also feature quality household merchandise, including health and beauty items, baby and pet supplies, toys and games, electronics, sporting goods, apparel, household items and lawn and garden items, all at Walmart’s famous Every Day Low Prices.

Customers will enjoy convenient on-site services such as a garden center, tire and lube express, 8-pump fuel station and a free store pickup service providing an easy way to shop millions of products on Walmart.com, with many items available for pickup the same day.
