REPORTS TO: 

Senior Account Executives and above

JOB SUMMARY

Assistant Account Executives (AAEs) at The Ehrhardt Group (TEG) performs various writing and research assignments; monitors billings; and assists with daily servicing of client accounts.

AAEs at TEG must be able to:

  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understand internal TEG philosophy and administrative approach
  • Demonstrate initiative, attention to detail and dedication to quality
  • Be proficient with AP style
  • Possess an interest in the economic and cultural framework of New Orleans, the Mississippi Gulf Coast and the Gulf South
  • Keep abreast of emerging strategies and tactics in the industry as well as local approaches in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pitch media
  • Coordinate interviews with spokespersons
  • Answer general media inquiries
  • Prepare media lists and assist media on regular basis
  • Write media materials, including releases, backgrounders and fact sheets
  • Generate client correspondence, including reports, agendas and memorandums
  • Monitor media for industry trends and share with appropriate TEG account teams
  • Prepare and manage media lists, and assist media on regular basis
  • Craft social media content and interact with digital audiences on behalf of TEG clients
  • Research assigned issues, clients, client competitors, news stories, media representatives and outlets
  • Collaborate with account team to develop concepts, strategies and tactics for PR plans and campaigns
  • Support senior staff with special projects and activities, as assigned
  • Meet internal and external deadlines

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Administrator team members

May be involved in intern selection/direction

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, business or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2-3 months of experience, agency environment preferred
